Oh, We're So Fucked

Previously on Nautilus…

While on Den, Mercutio is approached by Catherine Cortez, a co-star of his soap oprea. She requests that The Blackbird track down her sister, Carmen Cortez, a crew member of the exploration vessel the Lily Flower. The Blackbird leaves to go to the planet where the Lily Flower was sent to explore. When they attempt to land, they are blasted out of the sky by planetary defenses.

After crash landing, the crew finds the wreck of the Lily Flower and searches it. They find the crew holed up in the ship, including Carmen and Petra Petrovich. They take all supplied off of the ship, and head back to The Blackbird. Back at base, they crew works on repairing the ship while Violet explores the area, looking for the gun that hit them. She discovers a military base with two mass drivers and an airfield. Pen, one of the crew members of the Lily Flower, scouts around in Violet’s ship for more of the mass drivers, and discovers two other facilities. The Blackbird crashed landed in the middle of a defense network. The crew finished repairs on both Violet’s ship and The Blackbird while discussing their options.

Yet Another Fetch Quest

Previously on Nautilus…

While on Den, the crew receives a job from two CDE in the government to transport an experimental power generator from a research facility to an island. The CDE believe a different group may try to steal the generator on route, so they wanted to contact a third party under secrecy to do the transport.

The party picks up the item with now problems. However, as the party leaves the research lab, they are charged by a man in a trench coat. After subduing the man, the party is then attacked by a sniper. After stopping the sniper, the party uses air transport to go towards the island and radios for The Blackbird to meet them enroute. However, they are intercepted by six heavily armed air cars. A dog fight ensues. Eventually, the party is able to drive off the brigands.

Panic! at the Concert

Previously on Nautilus…

While at the concert for Angus and Julia, the crew is taken back stage. While there, they meet up with various famous people, including Kamen Otri, a famous Science Fiction author born around the time of the LAI singularity, Zaphod Estevaz, a news reporter who recently came out with an exposé on piracy, Orta a famous Lai who serves as an ambassador and activist for Lai rights. The group talk amongst themselves for a while. Also, Phil Hernandez McCollin is on duty as a security guard, under the assumed name of Percival.

During the conversation, a reality news reporter, John Gardener, asks James Albright to do an interview. When James is pulled aside, John and his cameramen attack. The fight escalates when the rest of the crew catches on to the attempt. With help from Phil/Percival and air support from The Blackbird, they are able to subdue the cameramen. John nearly manages to escape, but he is stopped before he can.

Based on comments from John, the crew believes the assassination attempt came from one of the Nova Roma factions behind the bombing at Crossroads Station. James attempts to contact Gaia Aquila to let her know about the assassination attempt.

Everyone Meet the New Guy

Previously on Nautilus…

While the crew is in Celestial Waters, Maaka Evans is intercepted by former “associates” and is escorted outside the bar.

Meanwhile, James Albright meets up with his friend Albert Wang at the Clearing Under Hill.

While at Den, the crew receives a garbled message that appears to have come from Gaia Aquila. James sends a message to Aquila to let her know the message had been corrupted, possibly by a third party.

Later on in the week, the party attends the concert for Angus and Julia. Elsewhere at the concert, Mercutio Mazarati, famed soap opera star and playboy, hits on famed actress Amelia Jackson.
